Founded on December 29th, 2002, China Datang Corporation Limited(“CDT”) is a large scale state-owned power generation enterprise,with main businesses covering electric power, coal &coal chemical industry, finance, environmental protection, trade&logistics and emerging industries. CDT owns 5 listed companies, and 36 regional subsidiaries and specialized companies.

By the end of 2022, CDT’s power generation assets in operation and under construction are widely distributed in 32 provinces all over China, including HongKong and foreign countries and regions such as Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia etc., with assets amounted to 860 billion RMB, total installed capacity 172 GW, with clean energy units accounting for 42%. CDT has been listed in Fortune Global 500 companies for 13 consecutive years.

CDT currently boasts of the largest thermal power plant in commercial operation, Inner Mongolia Datang International Togtoh Power Company (capacity of 6,720 MW). Chifeng Saihanba Wind Farm(capacity of 1,708 MW), one of the largest operational onshore wind farm in the world. Datang Dongying Power Generation Company, the world's first six-cylinder six-exhaust 1,000MW Power Plant. CDT is responsible for supplying more than half of the capital city's electricity, as well as heating area of 800 million square meters in the "Three Norths" region of China.
