Zou Lei Attends 7th China International Import Expo
The opening ceremony of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum kicked off on the morning of November 5 in Shanghai.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.
Zou Lei, Chairman of China Datang, and Li Jianwei, Vice President of China Datang, were among the distinguished guests in attendance.
Zou and his delegation visited the exhibition booths of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Siemens Energy, GE Vernova, EDF France and Hitachi Energy in the afternoon of the same day.
During the visits, Zou engaged discussions on green energy transformation, energy technology development, and business collaboration with Takashi Kubo, Chief Regional Officer, China, and President of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (China) Co., Ltd., Dr.-Ing. Christian Bruch, President and CEO of Siemens Energy AG, Ramesh Singaram, President and CEO of GE Vernova Gas Power's Asia Region, Song Xudan, Senior Executive Vice President of EDF China, and James Zhao, Executive Vice President and Region Head for Greater China, Hitachi Energy.
Zou emphasized that as a key player in the energy sector in China, China Datang is ready to collaborate with these companies on the basis of existing sound cooperation to enhance the exchange and cooperation in new technologies, advance global sustainable energy development, and uphold global energy security.
During the talks with Christian Bruch, President and CEO of Siemens Energy AG, Zou had discussions with him on strengthening technological innovation and deepening collaboration in energy sector.
Li Jianwei was also present at the meeting.
Zou expressed that in the context of global green and low-carbon development, China Datang is ramping up its efforts towards green transition. He highlighted the potential for further expanding cooperation with Siemens Energy.
He encouraged both companies to leverage their respective strengths to deepen collaboration in areas such as the development and application of new energy technologies, green fuels, and third-party markets to enable the domestic application of new technologies and the utilization of mature technologies in third-party markets.
Zou also called on driving technological innovation and energy transformation, and working hand in hand to create a brighter future for global green energy development.
Bruch emphasized that Siemens Energy is dedicated to offering top-notch products and solutions to enterprises, and will seize the opportunity brought about by China's energy transition, and deepen collaboration with China Datang.
He expressed the hope for enhanced communication, expanded cooperation in areas like new energy technologies and international business, and the creation of a model partnership between advanced energy companies from China and abroad to achieve mutual success.
Executives of relevant departments and enterprises from China Datang also participated in the above-mentioned activities.
