Zou Lei Holds Talks with Felix Mutati, Minister of Technology and Science of Zambia
Zou Lei, Chairman of China Datang, met with visiting Felix Mutati, Minister of Technology and Science of the Republic of Zambia, at the company's headquarters on Sept. 13. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on enhancing practical cooperation in the energy sector.
Peng Yong, Vice President of China Datang, and Zou Ling, Chairman of Tianjin TEDA Energy Group Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.

After giving a warm welcome to Mutati, Zou introduced relevant situation of China Datang’s development to the visiting official. China and Zambia share a profound tradition of friendship which is highly valued, Zou noted.
Pointing out that energy cooperation is an important part of China-Zambia green cooperation, he stressed that China Datang is ready to fully leverage its advantages of technological achievements and rich experience in the field of clean energy and deepen practical cooperation with partners in Zambia in such fields as energy strategy, new energy development, and infrastructure construction.
It's expected that the two sides will develop concise, efficient and systematically integrated energy solutions through intelligent and digital transformation, and jointly implement the important consensuses between the two heads of state on the Belt and Road Initiative to help optimize Zambia's energy structure and promote win-win cooperation between the two sides, according to Zou.

Mutati expressed high regard for the long-standing friendly cooperation between Zambia and China, and shared information about Zambia's development during the meeting.
He highlighted the deep-rooted traditional friendship between China and Zambia, emphasized Zambia's strong commitment to national economic development, and noted that Zambia sees a high market demand and broad prospects for growth in its energy sector.
Zambia hopes to enhance cooperation with China Datang in fields such as hydropower, solar energy, and nuclear energy, in a bid to facilitate Zambia's efforts to pursue low-carbon energy transition, thus providing crucial underpinning for its economic and social progress, he said.
Heads of relevant departments from China Datang were also present at the meeting.
