Huang Yongda, Chen Jianhua, and Xie Feng, External Directors of China Datang’s Board, visited the Pak Beng Hydropower Project in Laos from March 23 to 27, conducting an on-site review of the project’s progress.

They toured key locations including the dam foundation, right abutment, downstream approach channel, and construction camp. They also received briefings on the project’s financing, construction status, and biodiversity conservation measures.

The external directors acknowledged the progress made on the project. Focused on advancing the Belt and Road Initiative and delivering China Datang’s annual international development objectives, they also offered practical suggestions for China Datang Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. on strengthening strategic planning for Southeast Asia in the next five years, as part of broader efforts to advance China Datang’s high-quality international development.
