China Datang held a coordination meeting on November 2nd in Fuxin, Liaoning Province, to promote coordinated cooperation across the industrial chain for the commissioning and supply assurance of its Fuxin Coal-to-Natural Gas Project.

The meeting marked the project’s official entry into the production and gas supply phase.

ZHANG Lilin, Vice Governor of Liaoning Province, attended the meeting and announced the official commencement of production and gas supply of the Fuxin project. LYU Jun, Chairman of China Datang, attended and addressed the meeting.

FU Xiangsheng, Vice Chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation; CHEN Mingzhuo, Vice President of PipeChina; and MA Yuan, Secretary of the Fuxin Municipal Party Committee, attended the event and delivered speeches.

LI Jianwei, Vice President of China Datang, was also present, while the meeting was chaired by LI Xiaofei, Vice President of China Datang.

LYU said in his remarks that China Datang had successfully revitalized and brought the Fuxin project into operation in less than a year, enabling it to begin production, ensure energy supply and deliver results from the outset.

China Datang will continue to expand its presence and investment in Liaoning, ensure stable production and reliable supply at the Fuxin project, and advance its green transformation, he noted, adding that the corporation will also deepen cooperation and strengthen coordination across the industrial chain, contributing its efforts to building China into a strong energy country and promoting the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era.

FU extended warm congratulations on the Fuxin project's commencement of production and gas supply. He noted that, China Datang had overcome numerous challenges, constraints and adverse factors after 20 years of exploration. With the world's largest coal-to-natural gas production capacity and overall innovation achievements at the global forefront, China Datang had played a leading role as a national champion and a major force in safeguarding national energy security and driving the upgrading and development of the industry.

CHEN said that the Fuxin project was a major landmark achievement in implementing China's new energy security strategy and the decisions and arrangements for the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era. With the project completed, put into operation and connected to the national natural gas pipeline network, it will add a strategic source of supply to China's efforts to ensure stable natural gas supplies nationwide and provide strong support for the country's energy supply security system.

MA said that Fuxin would continue to improve its business environment and provide services throughout the project life cycle to ensure its safe and stable operation. The city would also deepen cooperation with China Datang in areas including new coal chemical industries, renewable energy development, and the integration of coal chemical operations with renewable energy, making greater contributions to Liaoning's revitalization and development and to safeguarding national energy security.

Heads of relevant departments of Liaoning Province and Fuxin City, as well as representatives from China Datang, China State Railway Group, State Grid, PipeChina and other participating organizations and their subsidiaries, attended the meeting.
