2026-10-14

China Datang's 263 MW Buka photovoltaic (PV) project in Uzbekistan marked the first anniversary of its full-capacity grid connection and commercial operation on September 30.

Over the past year, the project has operated safely, smoothly and efficiently, providing strong support for power supply in and around Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

It generated a total of 588 million kWh in its first year, with all technical and economic indicators met or exceeded the design values set forth in the feasibility study. Its operation has saved about 163,000 tonnes of standard coal and cut carbon dioxide emissions by 448,000 tonnes, helping drive the green and low-carbon transition of Uzbekistan's energy and power system.

At the new starting point, the company will continue to uphold stringent safety standards, strengthen refined operation and maintenance, and further unlock the project's power generation potential, and systematically advance development of subsequent projects.

Looking ahead, the company will continue to deepen its presence in Central Asia's green energy market, burnish credentials for China-Uzbekistan energy cooperation, and write a new chapter in high-quality energy cooperation with stable and reliable clean green power.
