Lyu Jun, Chairman of China Datang held talks with Bernard Fontana, Chairman and CEO of EDF Group, at the headquarters of China Datang on December 4th.

Li Jianwei, Vice President of China Datang, and Jean-Philippe Lamarcade, President of EDF China, were present at the meeting.

Lyu first extended a warm welcome to Fontana and his delegation, and provided an overview of China Datang’s development progress as well as future plans for green and low-carbon transition.

Noting that the cooperation between China Datang and EDF has stood the test of time, he stressed that the two sides have maintained frequent exchanges and achieved fruitful outcomes over nearly two decades of strategic partnership.

He expressed hope that both parties would further strengthen exchanges in technology, management, and personnel, actively explore new cooperation opportunities across multiple fields such as new energy, technological R&D, industrial chain integration, and talent development, and continuously deepen the breadth and depth of strategic collaboration.

Fontana thanked China Datang for the gracious hospitality and spoke highly of the achievements made by China Datang in green and low-carbon development. He also commended the positive outcomes of bilateral cooperation.

The two sides share broad prospects for cooperation in low-carbon development, technological innovation, and third-party markets, he said, adding that EDF looks forward to enhancing communication and conducting in-depth discussions with China Datang in these areas to promote higher-level mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.

The talks were also joined by senior executives of relevant departments of China Datang and EDF Group.
