CDT’s first water surface floating photovoltaic power plant connected to grid for power generation
On December 29, 2019, Datang Huayin Ruanjiang Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. brought good news: Beigang Changhe 100 MW photovoltaic project, CDT’s first water surface floating photovoltaic power plant, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation. It is the first large-scale water surface floating photovoltaic power project in CDT and Hunan Province.
Since the project started on October 13, CDT Hunan Branch Company has been working on fast track and completed this project and achieved grid connection within just 78 days.
The project adopts the high-power single-crystal silicon photovoltaic module technology, a technology with the highest conversion rate per unit area in the world at the moment, and a high-power centralized inverter, with photoelectric conversion rate reaching 19.8%; at the same time, the unique water surface floating technology and anchor system is adopted, which can increase power generation by about 5%. According to estimates, the project is expected to have an average annual grid-connected power of 125 GWh. The "sunshine wealth" has brought five harvests of "fishing, electricity, tourism, environmental protection, taxation", making contributions to local economy and ecological conservation.
