Datang Pak Beng Power Donates Relief Supplies to Disaster-stricken Areas in Luang Namtha Province
On September 22, Pak Beng Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Datang in Laos,donated rice, clothing, and other relief materials to Louang Namtha, the worst-hit province in northern Laos in the flooding disaster. Wansawa Siphandone, Party Secretary and Governor of Louang Namtha Province, met with the Pak Beng Power team and expressed his gratitude and appreciation.
Pak Beng Power has been closely following the local government's progress in disaster prevention and relief efforts since Typhoon Yagi made landfall in Laos. Upon learning about the devastating disaster in Luang Namtha Province and the urgent need for food, clothing, and other essentials among those affected, we quickly organized a collection of relief supplies and launched a donation drive among our employees. Many staff members generously contributed clothing, showing their support for the impacted communities through their actions. Additionally, we dispatched a team to deliver these supplies directly to Luang Namtha Province to assist the victims in overcoming their challenges.
During the meeting with our team, the Governor expressed his heartfelt gratitude, noting that our actions exemplified the deep friendship between the peoples of Laos and China, as well as the sense of responsibility demonstrated by Chinese enterprises.The Pak Beng Power team conveyed their concern for the disaster, assuring that the company would remain attentive to the situation in the affected areas. They also expressed their hope for a swift return to normal for those impacted.
