China Datang “Open Day”: public meet green energy face to face
On October 16, 2019, CDT launched the 13th Open Day event. 50 enterprises distributed in 27 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country and some overseas countries have opened their doors to the public. People from all walks of life are welcome to visit CDT enterprises.
In Datang Xiangtan Power Generation Co., Ltd., the main venue of the event, visitors visited the production building, cultural corridor, central control room and other places. Founded in 1936, Datang Xiangtan is one of the largest thermal power generation enterprises in Hunan Province. In 2017, all units completed ultra-low emission renovation and comprehensive wastewater treatment, making contributions to ecological environment protection.
Enterprises open to the public this time include Tuoketuo Power Plant, the largest thermal power plant in the world, Yantan Hydropower Station, the first 1000MW hydropower station in Guangxi, Jialingjiang Tingzikou Hydropower Station, the largest hydropower station in the northeastern Sichuan, and Phnom Penh-Battambang Power Transmission Project in Cambodia etc. By walking in these enterprises, local people have a more vivid and full understanding of green power generation, transmission and sales.
Since 2007, a total of 365 enterprises (times) of CDT have opened to the public and received nearly 80,000 people from all walks of life.
